In Vedic astrology, nine celestial bodies — the Navagraha — are used for chart analysis. These are the Sun (Surya), Moon (Chandra), Mars (Mangal), Mercury (Budh), Jupiter (Guru), Venus (Shukra), Saturn (Shani), and the two lunar nodes Rahu and Ketu.
